I cannot connect to the internet using Internet Explorer, however I can connect by going through the My Computer and typing in my destination into the address bar. I have tried many things and cannot figure out the issue. I have tried restoring Internet Explorer 6. I have tried to release the IP address for the router and applying new addresses. I have tried restoring IE6 to the default settings. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

what happens or what error codes are you getting?

The internet explorer program will not connect me to the internet. When trying to access the internet through internet explorer it tells me that the page cannot be found. In the status bar at the bottom the message WINDOWS/SYSTEM/SHDOCLC.DLL/dnserror.htm flashes as it tries to access the internet.

Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.
