How can I get the computer to start from a win 2000 cd, bypassing the ctrl, alt, delete screen?

Are you trying to install Windows 2000 or what is it you want to do?

The CD, if booted, will install or repair the OS.

Otherwise you can open it in Windows to extract files etc.

What is your goal here?

My goal is to bypass the ctrl, alt delete screen because I don't have a password to enter. I wondered if I reinstalled win 2000 I could get by it. this is a laptop from a company that was going out of business and they were just getting rid of these computers.

You would need to run a Clean Install.

Boot the CD and follow the prompts.

You will need the proper Product Key.
