My scan disk will not work. Is there anywhere I can download it from to run in windows me? I have left mine run for 5 hours and it just starts and stops

I'm no expert but I find that, if I reboot my system and don't do anything but go straight to scandisk,then scandisk runs smoothly. Good luck!
