My mum's computer keyboard isn't functioning properly. She said the "1" Key isn't working, when she hits it, the number 1 comes up on her screen, but then a timer pops up and the 1 deletes. The exclamation is still working fine so I'm guessing that she may have accidently set the number 1 to be a shortcut. Does anyone have any idea how to correct this problem?

Probably the quickest thing to try is to Open Device Manager, click on the Plus (+) sign next to the keyboard listing, right click on the installed keyboard and delete/remove/uninstall it and reboot. The Hardware wizard will find it on the next boot and reinstall it with associated drivers/resources.

I would also do an in-depth scan for virus's and malware with your favourite tools, just in case.
