I recently upgraded from Windows 98 SE to Windows 2000 SP4 and I had sound on my computer for about 2 weeks and now for some reason I don't have sound. I don't even have the sound thing in my system tray. When i go to START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>ENTERTAINMENT>VOLUME CONTROL I get this error.



What do I do?

Add the following line to the [boot] section of the System.ini file:

drivers=MMSYSTEM.DLL

If the line is already there but has a semicolon ";" at the beginning, remove the semicolon.
