SVGA display problems
I have recently re-installed Win 98 se and am having problems with poor display. There must already be a standard in-built graphics card in my PC as before the re-insatallation the display was fine. The PC I have is Packard Bell but unfortunately I dont have any more details than that. Can anyone advise me on the best solution to my problem. I have only basic knowledge of computers so please don't be too technical.

You can download and install Aida32 from here. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download183.html
Run it and you should find what graphics card you have under computer/summary/display. Post back and we can help find the driver for you.

Howdy Tassie Devil, Aida32 is no longer supported by the software writers they reccomend you use Everest Home Edition as a replacement. It's a great little system info progam and the user interface is very close to that of Aida32. More information available HERE

Thanks Bear. I love Aida, have it running on XP. Will download Everest to keep too.

Thanks for your help to both Tassie Devil and Bear. Have used Everest Home Edition and found that the PCI card is an Intel i752. Any further help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated as I'm beginning to get earache from my flatmate (the computers owner)

Have looked on Everest Home and found that multimedia device is Intel 82801AA I/O Controller Hub - AC'97 Audio Adapter PCI. Can anyone help me to find the drivers for this or p;oint me in the right direction on getting sound back.
