Hi, a friend of mine has a bit of trouble (no internet) he has put a pci modem card in a spare slot and rebooted, it then says that it has found new hardware and then asked for the drivers. He does not have any drivers for the card, are they on the windows 98 disk or will he have to get them from another source? If so which numbers on the card (as there are quite a few stickers on them) will be required?

Any and all prominent numbers on the card or the main chips would help. If nothing is really clear, the best thing is to download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under [COLOR=Red]Devices, Physical Devices, and in the right hand pane PCI Devices. The modem should be listed there as one of the entries. Post that exact information.
