A few days ago a white band appeared on my desktop (Windows 98) just above taskbar. It is only about two lines high, but it occupies valuable space and I would like to get rid of it. I had downloaded an aquarium screensaver which I didn't really like once it was installed. With the screensaver came a secondary taskbar located just above the regular one. It was mostly shopping and movies and such stuff. I deleted the screensaver using the Add/Remove on the control panel. This got rid of the screen saver, and the contents of the extra taskbar, but left me with the white band I mentioned above. The message "i Action Cancelled" appears on the left side of the band but has slipped behind the regular taskbar, and only a little portion of it is visible. I would certainly appreciate help with restoring that part of the screen. Thanks already. Ben

OOOps! Repaired it myself! Here's what helped (for what it's worth)
Closed down all programs, ran Ad-aware 6.0 and re-booted immediately. The blank space is gone.
