    Hello, and Welcome to D-A-L.

    Are you running 98FE or 98SE? The date/time stamp on the majority of system files will be;

    98FE = 11/24/1998 8:02 AM

    98SE = 4/23/1999 10:22 PM

    (c:\command.com and c:\io.sys being two of these files....

    Open a DOS window. (COMMAND PROMPT) You should be at C:\WINDOWS. Type in cd\. This should bring you to the root directory of C:. At the C:\> prompt type in dir/a/o/p and check the date and time stamps on these two files.)

    Also at the C:\> prompt type in dir/p/s rundll32.exe and hit ENTER. If the file is present on the system it will be listed. Note the directory in which it is listed.

    Post back with your results/any further questions.
