    Hello, and Welcome to D-A-L.

Is this the only application/program where you get this error?

Yes. I have used the same disc to install on other computers I have (4) with no problems.

I've been searching the net for this error but can't find anything applicable. Everything I've found has to do with programming or specific applications etc:

    http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=integer+%3D+0&meta=
    and
    http://support.microsoft.com/search/...=20&1033comm=1

I've tried the error without the spaces as well:

    http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=integer%3D0&meta=
    and
    http://support.microsoft.com/search/...7&mode=a&adv=1

"Divide by zero" doesn't seem to apply either.

Do you have your Win98 CD and Product Code? If so, I'd suggest performing an "over the top" reinstall of the O/S. This means you DO NOT format, simply initiate the O/S install. This leaves your present settings/data in place. It will read the existing registry and utilize it during the install. It will probably want to install to C:\WINDOWS.000 when it finds the original O/S, but simply re-direct it to C:\WINDOWS so it installs in the original folder.

This can be tricky as this O/S has gone EOL (End Of Life) and updates ~may~ not be available from MS. (Usually EOL means no further updates/patches will be made available, but the existing ones will still be listed for download for a while.)

There will also be files which are newer than the original O/S files due to software installs, however you will be prompted about these. Just choose to keep the existing files currently in place.

Post back with any concerns etc.
