cheers for your help.I think the harddrive is knackered. i cant get a copy of windows 2000. now the computers not even turning on so i think i'll give it up as a lost cause.

thanks for your help. I think the hardrive is knackered, but it does now say i may be missing FAT files. I have no 2000 disk so i cant do alot, I will now give up.
