cant change colours
The computer my child with special needs uses is running Windows 98se. The software she uses needs 256 colours but display will only allow 16 or 2 colours. It used to allow 256 colours but now it won't.
She's upset, I'm in a bind.
Please help

Hi Mary,
It's almost definite that the graphics card or monitor drivers have become corrupted. When this happens, Windows re-instates its most basic built-in drivers. These are referred to as the Standard VGA Adapter drivers (or something similar) and allow Windows to display graphics at a basic level using files that are definitely compatible with your graphics card. However, to get better graphics such as higher screen resolution or higher colour depth (more colours), you'll need to re-install the correct drivers for your graphics card.
Do you know what graphics card is inside your PC? Or, if you don't know how to get drivers from the hard disk or from the Internet, do you have a driver re-installation CD that came with your PC?
