I just had to replace my keyboard for my pc & it works with the keyboard program thats already in my pc,but it won't start in safe mode,can anyone tell me why?Thanks,tinydancer

so are you saying that the F8 key wont work when booting into windows ?
I have had this same problem. The reason was because my F8 key also had other functions, I believe it could act as F8 or my computer (only when software was installed and i was in winxp ... ) but for some wierd reason i couldn't use it outside of windows ???

changed to a standard keyboard and F8 worked fine (safe mode)

Thanks static,But I finally got it to work by holding down the F-8 & Ctrl key at the same time at the boot -up.Thanks again,tinydancer
