Chat programs freeze up!
I am not sure if this headache is Win98se caused, Internet Expl/Firefox caused, or one of my memory areas (Virtual or RAM). This problem is the reason I was investigating the Virtual Memory allocation in my hard drives (2).
I can access the chat room but after a few minutes of browsing the window freezes, locks up & have to do a cntrl/Alt/Del to get out. It looks like memory is being sucked up like in a black hole.
The chat program uses "Micromedia Flash". I also see "Java Script" running (Notes at the bottom of window.
I receive an error message:
UPGRADER caused an exception eedfadeH in module VCL50.BPL at 0167:400353f8.

Sorry for the delay Stan, I've been quite busy.
I know nothing about chat rooms/utilities etc. Never used/been in one.

?? Did you change any Virtual Memory/Swapfile settings from the Windows "stock" settings?
(From the looks of things, it seems as if you did);
