My pc continues to displays, searching missing shortcut - hpobrt07.exe.file and i have absolutely no idea of how to fix this error, and its realy causing problems everytime myself or my family try to do something simple,

Please advise me of what i can do to resolve this,

Hello, and Welcome to DAL.

Have you recently uninstalled any Hewlett Packard devices and associated software? (Printer, scanner, etc)

If so, you can try installing then uninstalling again.

Also check your Startup folder (Start, Programs, Startup).

Go to Start, Run, type in msconfig. Click on the Startup tab and see if there is an entry there. If so remove the check mark.

Post back with your results.

Did you have a HP printer connected at one time or try to remove the program?
