Have inadvertanely deleted the rundll32 program (including in recycle bin). Cannot activate programs in control panel (all). Is there anyway of reinstalling or downloading this program? As a novice I'm really stuck. Thanks

Go to Start, Run, type in SFC. Follow the prompts to reinstall a single file. You will need the 98 CD.

Post back if you have any problems.

Followed your instructions. Not sure if I am typing in the correct path. Kept getting following message box. "File not found. Verify that you have selected the correct RESTORE FROM location.
Also not sure where rundll32 is located (if anywhere) since I have deleted it. Still confused. If you follow up with a reply, please keep it simple as I am a complete novice.

The file goes into c:\windows.

If you're running 98SE the rundll32.exe file is in x:\win98\WIN98_46.CAB on the CD. (x: would be your CDROM drive letter.)
