Hi,

Every time I start my computer it immediately shuts down as soon as it reaches the screen to enter username and password. It is a work laptop. I have tried using safe mode and last known good configuration. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?

Does Safe Mode result in the same shut down?

Do you have a Recovery disk?

What is the exact make and model of the laptop?

If it is tied to your work: have you asked your IT guy?

Hi,

Yes the safe mode gives the same shutdown
I don't have a recovery disk
The laptop is a DELL latitude D600
The IT guys want me to send it in to them and they normally take at least a week to get it back which I need to avoid as I work from home.
