We recently had a lightning storm in my area and the power flickered on and off about 10 times in 5 seconds and now when I try to start my computer I get a blue screen that says:

***STOP 0x0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I don't have the parameters right now as I am at work...if those are important I can post them later. I've tried everything in my power to start my computer but cannot get past that blue screen. Ive tried looking at all the FAQ's on microsoft and googled the error message but nothing works. All I really want to know is if it is possible to recover any data on the hard drive. I needed to upgrade anyways so I purchased a new laptop, but on my PC I had about 2000 songs downloaded and would hate to have lost them all. If anyone knows how I can start my computer back up or how I can get those songs off the hard drive let me know. Thanks for your help.

You should be able to slave that hard drive in another tower and access your data. No problem.

Can you enter the BIOS setup? If so is the hard drive detected?

What type of 2K Recovery Disk(s) do you have?

What is the make and model of the computer?
