When I start internet explorer I get all kinds of virus notifications, which I can take care of. How do I get rid of the running programs at start up? When I use ctrl, alt, delete there is a ton of stuff I never downloaded and want to remove it at start up. How do I do it?

Go to start/run and type msconfig then click on the startup tab and untick the ones you don't want. Just be careful that they aren't ones you need.
