Hi Fiercegaming_01,
In order to be able to diagnose the problem, we need to be able to get Dan's test to run and to understand what your results were. As Dan was saying in post #7, your PC will display a black screen with some diagnostics information during the first couple of seconds after you switch it on. This information is useful to us. Each different make and model of PC will display different diagnostics information but it will probably be similar to this:
AMIBIOS version 1.2.4746.vh7251 (or the make and model of your BIOS)
Nvidia GeForce MX440 64Mb AGP (or the make and model of your graphics card)
Intel Pentium III 500MHz (5.0x100) (or the type of your processor)
Memory detected: 131072Kb (or the amount of RAM inside your PC)
Drive detection in progress ........
Primary Master: Seagate ST103840 10GB (or the type of your hard disk)
Primary Slave: NEC 322432 (or the make and model of your CDROM drive)
Secondary Master: Samsung DVDR8x123 (or the make and model of your DVD drive).
Do you see those last few lines? If not, you should take a look at my article about how to get your BIOS to detect the drives inside your PC properly: http://www.d-a-l.com/articles/library/3.html

Did you obtain, and make the bootdisk, and is it (in itself) working? Does it boot the machine with CDROM support, but the cd/dvd are not assigned device letters?
When you cold boot the machine, are the CDROM and the DVD listed in the POST (Power On Self Test)? (The second screen you see if the diagnostics screens aren't masked by a boot screen.)
