lost my network drive connections and printer
Hi,
For some reason I suddenly lost all my drive connections to my main PC, even
tough th einternet connectio n is stil working fine, and I can Ping it.
My set up is as follows:
Main PC: win2000, connected to BroadBand via USB connection.
It has a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.1 (and a variable IP address from my ISP for the internet connection)
Other pc's connect through wireless to this PC. The wireless box hands out IP addresses
to my other pc's and my main PC is connected as the UPLINK into the wireless box.
the main PC also has a printer attached, as well as a big external HD.
This setup always used to work well, I could access the harddrives, and print, but
suddenly after a crash, I cannot see my drives from other PC's , even though they are still shared (I even re-shared them) and I cannot print, other then from the main PC itself.
the other PC's are WINXP
any thoughts anyone?
many thanks

try checking the security settings between your router and the wireless connections - i have known them to drop off from the wireless connection end without an apparent reason - try re-entering them.
