Hi can anyone help! I bought IBM 380ED think pad, as windows98 in german! I find out it only has 32mb,& that later system require 64mb + any idea's would be very gratefull,other wise seems costly or u/s.cheers for help Ron.

Hi jephree, very green to this,no its ok windows 98 is ok, but needs to be english! i need it to run auto soft ware which i have. but dont know how to convert to english. help very grateful. rocketron.

They are 2 different beasts

You would need to purchase an English version and do a fresh install.

Hi. as my first enquiry,have been quoted around £170+vat & already spent on window xp no use for this laptop. have aquired windows 98 start up disc & windows 98 second edition,tried to load it.get to 1st set up.says insert diskette for drive B press any key when ready, but just reverts back to 1st set up. Any help most greatful. cheers Ron.

You will want to format the drive and install the English version to a clean

Hi jephree,cheers for imfo,great help. problem now is,after its fully loaded,it says to remove start up,disc & second edition cd,then load second edition disc It says the file 'nscrda.sy's on windows 98 second edition cd rom cannot be found.set up could not find a file on the specified path. if the path appears, below. make sure it is correct. click ok.to try copying agian.

Above insert box says copy files from: reads C;\windows\system\precopy

any ideas please? sorry for all the trouble. very best regards Ron.
