Re: required DLL fil not found (shlwapi.dll)
under the C:
C:windows\options\cabs
starting at
win98_21 CAB
up to
win98_74 cab
and finally just below the
win98_74 cab
is
win98_OL cab
toal files listed 55 96,487,634 bytes
in the d:
file not found
For EACH hard disk drive (or partition) you have (ie; C:, D:, E:, F:, etc) enter the following at the root directory of the drive; dir/s/p win*.cab.
EXAMPLE:
When you boot, you should end up at C:\>. Perform the entry above. If there are results (win*.CAB files found), note the directory in which they reside, ie; C:\BUNDLE or C:\DBBACKUP etc. By putting the /p switch in the command you enter, the listing will pause allowing you to see the directory it's finding .cab files in. Also by putting the WIN*.cab in the command, other non-relevant directories containing .cab files will be eliminated, as we're only looking for 98 setup cab files.
Perform this exercise for each drive/partition. When you're done at C:, at the C:\> prompt you simply enter the next drive letter followed with a colon - d: and hit Enter. Your command prompt should change indicating the drive you're now on, D:\>, E:\>, F:\>, etc.
Once/if you find any WIN98 cab files, change to the directory (ie; cd bundle or cd dbbackup), then perform the directory capture to the floppy text file.[/QUOTE]
