hi there ive just bought a laptop and i cant connect to the internet i use dial up i go to make new connection and put everything in and at the end it says this number is not reconised or the modem is not connected or is in use its really doing my head in can any one help

Does this dial-up connection work on other computers?

Are you using a network or just trying to direct connect this one machine?
