i locked my boyfriends computer and he doesnt have a passcode! it shows a picture of a screen and a lock.can you please tell me how to get it unlocked. i am in deep trouble.

i locked my boyfriends copmuter by accident and he does not have a passcode to get it open. is there something i can do to unlock it? it shows on the display screen a picture of a moniter screen and next to it a lock. would you please help me because i am in really bad trouble right now. if you could i would be forever grateful for your help!

Desktop system or laptop?

Make/brand, model number, any unique (system) numbers on the case/enclosure?

What was used to engage this "lock"? Certain keystrocks for the specific machine (ie; bios prompt?), or some program?

Since you're in this forum I gather the O/S is 98FE or 98SE.
