Turn off your antivirus, firewall, and any other 3rd party utilities.
Turn off Active desktop and Web view folders.
To do this:
Double click on My computer.
At the top, click on Tools>>Folder options.
Under active desktop put a dot in Use Windows Classic Desktop.
Under Web View put a dot in Use Windows Classic folders.
Apply>>ok.
Go down to start>>run.
In the little box type in:
regsvr32 webvw.dll
This will reextract and reregister the following files:
Brfcase.htt
Classic.htt
Controlp.htt
Default.htt
Deskmovr.htt
Dialup.htt
Folder.htt
Fsresult.htt
Imgview.htt
Nethood.htt
Printers.htt
Recycle.htt
Safemode.htt
Schedule.htt
Standard.htt
Starter.htt
Sysroot.htt
Once finished, reboot.
When you are back up, you can use folder options to turn back on Active Desktop and Web View.
See if you are still getting the error message.
