Can't get to System Restore

Can't get to System Restore
I really need some more help here...I can't get to my System Resore. I partially loaded an AOL disk onto my ME computer, then hit "cancel" when I decided I didn't want AOL after all.
Now, when I go to HELP on my Start menu, an endless loop download program automatically comes up and takes over. I can't get rid of it at all - not by trying to reload AOL, not by Control-Alt-Del (the download is running there, when I stop it it comes right back). I even tried a limited boot with an emergency restore disk.
No luck! The download window keeps coming up and taking over the computer.
I called AOL numerous times, they won't help - they claim this has nothing to do with them!
I really do appologize for having to ask again (maybe I'm not supposed to start a new thread on this, sorry), but I'm totally frustrated!
How do I get to my System Restore?
Thanks!

Did you finish installing it as suggested in your other thread and then uninstalling it?

Can you start your computer in safe mode then access restore?

To Tassie: I tried reinstalling, with no luck. As soon as I put the AOL disk in, the downloading window starts (it starts on top of everything else). I can't stop that download window without turning my computer off.
To Dave71: I tried starting the computer in safe mode, and also tried starting it from a boot floopy disk's safe mode. In each case, that download window just popped right up when I tried to get to restore.
Thanks to both for responding...any other ideas please?

I think if you read through the help documentation on the start up disc, it should give you instructions on how to access restore in dos.
