    Post Cannot find system files

My computer has on-board sound application which does not receive input from an exterior source (cassette player). I bought a new sound card - Trust 5.1 surround sound card. I disabled the on-board sound, fitted the sound card, inserted the CD-ROM and started to install the driver. A message on screensaid "specify path now or do it later & press [Continue] to install". After pressing [Continue] I get a new message: "Can not find system files of Windows 98. Please assign the path again". What can I do?

It's asking you for your Windows 98 CAB files (the installation source files). If you have a Windows 98 CDROM, pop this in the drive and then specify the path to the CDROM drive (e.g. D:) when it asks you. If it doesn't detect it by just specifying the drive letter (e.g. D:), try it with the Win98 folder on the CD (e.g. D:\Win98).

If you don't have a Windows 98 CDROM, you may be able to find the CAB files in:

    C:\Windows\Cabs
    C:\Windows\Options

Let us know if that helps
