My compter is frequently crashing (to blue screen), freezing up/locking up during many different functions. They occur in the "VXD VOLTRACK (04) area of the system
The messages state
"there is an exception in (Following are

Noteworthy is that I have just attempted to install a Plextor DVD/CD "Read/Write" unit. I already have a Plextor CD "Read./ Writer" which is designated the Master.
In addition I have two Hard drives. a 30 Gig & 60 Gig.
Unit is a Gateway 750 with 328 Memory.
