ok so this time I have a new problem. My computer will not recognize audio cds but it wil recognize discs with things such as computer games. I was wondering if there was anyway that I could fix that or if it is a problem that I woudl need to buy somthing to fix it. Hlep would be very much appriciated expecually from me because music is my life

ummm.....no i ahve not tryed to update my cd rom driver.....The other problems I had I dont think had anythign to do with now they were just problems that my computer had no mouse and the color was messed up......if u coudl please help me a possible walk thorugh of wat to do for the updating that woudl be nice if u can e-mail me at alifeoflies09@netscape.net Thank You

right then i will do it through this thread so hopefully it will help others as well

open up control panel then click on system then click on hardware tab find the dvd/cd listing and click on the + beside it to expand the selection then right click on the respective cd rom listed then go to properties then select the driver tab and then select update driver it will then take you through the process of updating your drivers for the cd rom

when I go to the Hardware Profiles it only shows one thing in it (Origginal Config.) and there is nothing beside it or anything it is just the only one and it has options at the bottom of copy or rename and that is all.......Is this a bad thing?

It's okay....... with that open I have.....CDROM and Disc Drives as the only programs that seme to have somthing to do with the CD driver........shoudl there be a Relative cd drive?

one of the listed pieces of hard ware either a cd and dvd rom should be the one you want to update the driver to it should say on the cd/dvd rom what make it is so that you know you have got the right one to update just right click on the one you want then properties then driver then update driver
