Something has happened with my Windows 98. If Folders are viewed with Large Icon, Small Icon or List--items can be seen. When selecting Details, though, the folder shows as empty.

So I am not able to see file size, date, location, etc.

Any thoughts??

I dont know the actual solution, but i have an alternate method of viewing file size, date, location etc.
You mightknow it and may have got confused.
Anyways, here it is:
Right click the folder of which you want details and click properties.
All will there then.

I got an answer from another forum. If the contents of a folder disappear when "Details" is the selected view, then do the following.

Try opening Windows Explorer, left-click in the right pane to gain focus.
Then press and hold the CTRL key while pressing the + key on the numeric
keypad. This will expand the view options to the default settings.

It worked!!
