sorry for the slight late reply. Since my last post, a friend of mine had a look at the PC and we got the problem sorted! It seems the driver we had loaded was wrong; we needed a sis 600 as opposed to 300.

I'm sure with ur help you wud have got this sorted too, but i'm glad that its resloved.

The only thing that remains is for me to say a huge thank you for your input, especially Dan and DJ. You guys do an excellent service. I really was impressed at your helpful attitude.

Hmmm, strange that the SiS 600 driver worked when Everest reported that it's an SiS 300 graphics chip that you've got. Glad to hear you got it sorted though - thanks for the update
