if i would like to upgrade my computer currently running on ME to XP, would i have to reformat the computer or i could just install XP(i knwo the procedures in installing xp).
Preferably i would wish i do not have to reformat my computer and know that i would have to reinstall everything but but would my files be deleted?

depends on what version of XP you have (upgrade.OEM/retail)

if you reformat you'll loose all your files, can you put all the data you require onto a CD?
