    Welcome to DAL,

    This doesn't sound like a virus problem. Might try going Here and see what they say about it.

    You can try the following. If it does not work then please follow Neal's advice & start a new thread in the Windows 2000 section.

    Please try these steps and check if the issue is resolved:

    1. Click on start -> Run -> type "regsvr32.exe /i shdocvw.dll" without the
    quotes.
    2. You should see a dialog box.
    3. Press OK then reboot the system.

    If the issue is not resolved, Go to Start -> Run and type in the following
    command.

    1. Regsvr32.exe /i shdoc401.dll

    Next enter this command

    2. Regsvr32.exe shdoclc.dll
    3. Reboot the system.

    Thanks, jephree.

    I followed the steps and check:

    1. Click on start -> Run -> type "regsvr32.exe /i shdocvw.dll" without the
    quotes.
    2. You should see a dialog box.
    3. Press OK then reboot the system.

    But it didn’t resolve my problem.

    Then I followed the steps and check if the issue is resolved:

    1. Regsvr32.exe /i shdoc401.dll
    It gave me the message “LoadLibrary("shcod401.dll)failed- the specified module could not be found. “

    2. Regsvr32.exe shdoclc.dll
    It gave me the message "shdoclc.dll was loaded but the DLLRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of shdoclc.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it."

    I need your help.
    thanks.

    Try IE Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings | uncheck all boxes there if any are checked.
