    unable to browse faste

    Hi, friends ;

    When I click on Internet Explorer it will open the home page, after that if I click on any other link it will show the following message, and it will shut donwn

    “Microsoft Internet Explorer”
    Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.

    What does this message mean and how should I correct this.

    ************************************************** ***************.
    My internet connection takes long time to open a page, (minimum 45 to 60 seconds) and more over it is not as speed as it use to be in the beginning.

    What is the reason for this and how to correct it.

    I am using windows 98 version
    Internet speed : 256 kbps

    Thank you

    While in Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then Internet Options, then the Security tab. You can try choosing the Default Settings, or you can customize the settings yourself. I recommend reading the Help files for this.

    You can also change your settings by clicking on Tools, then Internet Options, then the Advanced tab. Again, be careful on how you set things.

    I also recommend running some Malware/Spyware etc tools on your machine to help prevent things from being loaded which you probably don't want on your system. A comprehensive list of these tools can be found here.
