I am trying to run the setup file for a new piece of unlocking software i have purchased to use on my laptop running windows 98SE but whenever i try run the setup i get a windows error box like this

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in My Computer by clicking View and then clicking Folder Options.


Ok i get kinda of what its saying but what do i do this please any help would be great.

Normally that message means that you're trying to open a Word document and you don't have Word or an Excel spreadsheet and you don't have Excel etc. It's strange, therefore, that it should tell you it cannot open a CMD file because that's basically just a DOS batch file - support for that is built into Windows.

What is exactly is the software that you are trying to install? Maybe we can look it up and find a solution. When you say it's "unlocking software", what are you trying to unlock?

It is a crack for the required USB dongle for the vygis LG mobile unlocking software which i received delivery of today can get it to install fine on win xp but not for 98SE even though the software is said to support it i have uploaded the file to the download section on my website www.mbcommunications.tk look in the download section for a file called fordal.rar thank you so much for your time and help on this.
