Gooday,

I have this problem regarding my PC with windows 2000 Professional. Everytime i restart my PC my CD drive wont read CD's, i have right click on my computer >Manage>Device Manager>DVD/Cdrom drives then Disintall the CD there & then allow a Scan for hardware changes which reinstalls the CD so then it would start functioning normally.

But i have to do this procedure everytime i start my PC & its very time consuming. Do you have any idea how to make my CD function permanently?
