    Unhappy Wierd things a-happening

    Hey all,

Over the past few months i've noticed a series of wierd and strange changes to my system. Constant runnings of Ad-aware and Spybot bring up the odd thing every now and again, but problems remain -

1 - I've lost the right click and move shortcut function on my start menu! You can right click on the start menu button, but on none of the menu's.

2 - Control panels icons have, all but a few, disappeared.......?

3 - I have a CD re-writer, but any and all programs I download or own no longer recognise the drive as a CD-RW, although Control Panel/System recognises it as CD-RW, and is "working properly" .

During previous scans and hi-hack this logs I have noticed 2 BHO's also attached to my system which look suspect, but all attempts to remove have failed, as they reload on startup..... any link?

    Thanks in advance.....

    Matt

System restore has been disabled for sometime now as I have had a few problems in the past.......

All thats left now are these silly/annoying problems. I think the BHO's are disabled through Spybot, but I would still like to get rid of them completely. Hijack This does it, although they recover themselves on startup.

    Just noticed ANOTHER wierd problem,

Internet Explorer seems incapable of chooses the correct 'Encoding' for the typeset. As default it is set on Auto-Select, but seems to change from site to site, always choosing the incorrect option, such as 'Unicode'.

    Any ideas?????
