    Windows 2000 keeps rebooting

    I have a w2k pc 1.6mhz, 512Ram

I was looking at an autocad drawing and my computer locked up. It would not respond. after awhile when i couldn't get in to task manager, I restarted the computer. The computer boots up and I get the white window 2000 loading screen. Then the syten goes toa blank screen and reboots. This is all it will do. I tried starting in safe mode. That does not work either. It gives me the option to start in safe mode, but just keeps rebooting. I tried windows repair, but it will not repair. I replaced memory also.

I don't waht to reinstall the OS since I can't find my autocad cd to reinstall it.

    any help would be greate.

If you have a full version CD you can do a repair install.
Boot the 2000 CD via the bios and start install.
When given the choice of new or repair choose repair.
This will keep intact your configuration and programs/data.
You will have to redo your updates since you are back at square one.

I have this problem as well... I did a cmos wipe and re-formated and re-installed, and now it's doing it again. I tried to repair but it reboots when it tries to repair. I'm getting sick of this.
