scandisk repeating

    scandisk repeating

    Hello, I have a windows 2000 problem. I am not sure if it is scan or check disc but it keeps repeating and repeating. IN my computer tab under tools and properties it is checking for errors,it compleats,then reboots like always , the problem is it doesnt start windows up, it goes back to check disc for errors and runs the whole program. It will not quit doing this hour after hour,Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just found out its not scandisk repeating it is error checking section in my cmputer icon, properties then to tools then it goes to error checking, and it keeps running the program and keeps restarting upon reboot

    i have posted a scandisk problem it is a checkerrors problem Windows says it will scan and fix just like scandisk The program keeps repeating, then rebooting then after startup it goes to checkerror section over and over , I have 1 replie from a earlier post, and i am not sure how to access it, any help is greatly appreciated.I hope i have explained this properly

    I have been looking thru 2k sites & have found nothing at this point.

    You could try booting into safe mode & then stopping the startup.

    If you can boot into Safe Mode you can download XP's msconfig which can be used in 2K here:
