I upgraded Windows 95 to Windows 98 SE and have completely lost Audio in the Multimedia section of the Control Panel. The CD player is alive and well on the computer; I just can't hear anything! Under "entertainment" in programs, volume control is listed but simply will not open. Please help!

You need to reload the sound device drivers. If you don't have a Driver CD for your system or that device, you can usually find them on the device manufacturers website.

If you don't know what you have in hardware, download and run Everest Home Edition (Clean Freeware). Use the Report Wizard to save ALL PAGES in HTML format. Attach the file to your next posting.
