If you guys can find the Drivers or what ever I need to get my Comp back on 256 Colors agen I would greatlly appricate it. =)
The scans pick up your onboard which is what you are now seeing.
Apparently you also have a:
nVIDIA RIVA TNT2 (Diamond Viper V770) Video Adapter
Try this driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
go to: TNT2 for 98
& read the instructions here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/driver_...ion_hints.html
You may also need to disable the onboard device.
When I try to install the Driver it tells me it cannot find any nVIDIA chips on my system.
I don't know if this is disabled in the Device Manager or the BIOS.AGP Controller:
AGP Version 2.00
AGP Status Disabled
AGP Device nVIDIA RIVA TNT2
AGP Aperture Size 64 MB
Supported AGP Speeds 1x, 2x, 4x
Fast-Write Not Supported
Side Band Addressing Supported, Disabled
Problems & Suggestions:
Problem AGP is disabled. This may cause performance penalty.
Problem AGP aperture size is more than half of the system memory size. This may cause performance penalty.
Is the nVIDIA RIVA TNT2 listed in Device Manager?
Are you familiar with entering the BIOS setup?
& just to verify: this card was working OK before the format?
Well I don't see it in the device maniger all I see is Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)
and no I am not familer with entering the BIOS setup. Also yes it was working fine before the format.
It must be disabled in the BIOS.
What is the exact make & model of the computer? Dell? Dimension ####? (for example).
Entering the System Setup Program
Turn on (or restart) your computer.
When the blue Dell logo appears, press <Del>.
If you wait too long and the operating system begins to load into memory, let the system complete the load operation. Then shut down the computer and try again.
Once in Setup it is probably the Advanced tab:
Video Configuration:
Video Configuration Submenu Option
Option Function
AGP Aperture Size Sets the AGP aperture size to either 64 MB (default) or 32 MB.
Primary Video Adapter Supports the Windows 98 and Windows 2000 multiple-monitor feature. Select AGP (default) to specify the AGP video card as the primary video adapter. Select PCI to specify a PCI video card as the primary video adapter.
It is a Dell.Dimension XPS B___r.And I am still confused about what you want me to do in BIOS.

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dmag/
http://support.dell.com/support/trou...en&s=dhs&cs=19
Go to the Video Configuration Submenu just to verify & or set AGP as your primary video adapter.
Ok I did what you wanted in the BIOS.
