As you may have seen I have had alot of problems with this Toshib 650ct. Dan has helped me to get Windows back on it (Win98fe). I started with 95 and moved on to 98fe, but the screen resolution is stuck on 640 x 480. The setting bar is greyed out. When I was in dos it is fine, but now it is real small. How do I get it bigger? I have done alot of reading here on it, but they are dealing with different monitors plugged into different cpu's with wrong drivers. Mine is a laptop with factory lcd screen. So it can't be a driver problem can it?
Yes, proper drivers have to be installed for the video adapter which is in the Toshiba. Have you visited the Toshiba site and entered your model number for drivers?
As always you were right!!!
Now I only have one more problem to solve and I will have back on line...
I need to get it reconize my lynksys wireless network card.
Going to install the software now....
Sometimes the netword card software should be installed before the card is installed into the system. Either the card or software literature should outline this. If you know you're OK on this element then........
That wouldn't work. I went back to my old Linksys card which is not wireless and managed to get it back on line that way. But I still get the same error "missing oleaut32.dll" evertime I try to install my wireless software. These are both the same brand. Also I have 2 other cd's I have been trying to put on there, and it won't let me.
Printshop says missing setup.ini in setup.exe or close to that and
Microsoft Works says failed to save to path 'Microsoft Works'
Do you think all or some of these problems could be because the cdrom driver never asked for it's disk #2. And if so, how do I force it to ask?
I've ( last Monday) deleted all the files which I've downloaded for your problems. It figures, the day after I delete, I need one. Murphy is sitting on my shoulder.
So, I'm a bit lost right now. I've been flipping from post to post trying to find the file again. Things would be easier if you could just post the name of the file which created the two disks (DISK1 & DISK2) which you are referring to. Thanks.
