When I logged on to my computer today there was no mouse icon, also my screen looks as though it is in Safe Mode. When I put the computer into Safe Mode the Mouse works.I have checked the settings for the mouse and this has had no effect. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Perhaps try a System Restore.

Start/Run/ %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Also reflect on anything you changed recently/ software/ hardware/ etc.

Sounds like a graphics/ driver problem.

Check:

Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc

Start/Run/ eventvwr

Also:

Start/Run/ dxdiag | Display

What is listed as Device?
