Unhappy Unknown Change In Hard Drive Size

After reformatting my hard drive and trying to reinstall windows ME its saying that I dont have enough disk space to reinstall windows ME. I have a 80gig seagate Barracuda ata iv hard drive. Its was big enough for windows ME yesterday why isnt it big enough today? Should I have Format C: instead of FDISK?

If Windows ME has the same limitation as Windows 98, which I suspect it does, then the problem is because the hard drive partition is actually too BIG. You need to FDISK your hard drive into smaller partitions (I think the limit is 36Gb each). Then use FORMAT C: /S to format the new smaller partition.

Let us know if that sorts it out

If you made a Boot disk when you first got the computer try using that but you May have to get the C:\ drive formated i know in did when my XP said that "hal.dll is missing or corrupt"
