I use MSN Mail as my email provider on a computer running W98SE. Sometimes when I receive an email with an attachment and I try to open it a little box pops up and gives me several choices for "Open attachment as.........." There's also a small check box to open all similar attachments using the tool I've checked. What do I do if I forget to uncheck that box and want to back out of that command afterward? I just tried to open an attachment with the wrong tool and so it wouldn't open, and I forgot to uncheck the box at the bottom. Is there a way to cancel that command?

Well you can uncheck that box.
Left click once the file/program you want to open.Now keep the 'Shift' key pressed and now right click the same file/program.You will get an option - Open With. Click it and you can uncheck the box or open the with with some other application.Hope that solves your problem.
