presently the file c:\autoexec.bat looks like this:
c:\progra~1\grisoft\avgfre~1\bootup.exe
@echo off
PATH \;C:\WINDOWS;C:\windows\command;C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM; C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WBEM
I think it should be okay. AVG is active when I boot up now.
One other small issue. Could you refill my printer cartridge? Seems like you have done everything else. And I thank you for being here to direct me. Thanks a bunch.
If there are any other issues, I will certainly be back... great job, Dan and others.
Jlhaslip, there's a different message board in the forum named "Printer Cartridge Refill Requests" - please post your request there and a moderator will be in touch within 48 hours, lol
With regards to your slow mouse / keyboard, I agree with Dan's initial thoughts but the delay seems too extreme to be a lack of memory or a busy hard disk. And, as you've now indicated that you've got 160Mb RAM, I think that pretty much rules that out .... unless one of your RAM modules is defective.
I would recommend reducing the video acceleration down to the minimum setting to see if this has an effect. The video hardware acceleration setting is found in:
Control Panel >
Display applet >
Settings tab >
Advanced button >
Troubleshooting tab.
You'll need a reboot for that to take effect.
Let us know whether that helps![]()
DJNafey,
Thanks for the reply. You and Dan has been super! about this problem and I am very thankful for the assistance.
Don't ask me how or why, but the 'sticky mouse' thing has gone away. ??????
Yup, it is all good....
BTW, did a search and can't find the thread re: refills...
Oh apparently that's just been withdrawn as it was very popular and was costing D-A-L a fortune, lolOriginally Posted by jlhaslip
