hi
my pc switches on as if it is working but the hard drive light is on constant and red also monitor looks as if it is on stand by, and the keyboard doesnt work anyone got any solution for me

do you get any beeps when the pc starts ? is this the first time its played up ?

no beeps no twice b4 left it off for a while then worked again but its not happening this time

no other symtoms

You should get at least 1 beep to let you know all's ok..is everything connected ok? have you (or anyone else) been inside the case?
what make PC is it ?

no beep, everything is connected, i looked inside today if there was any loose connections it is: I Patriot who made it got it out of dixons about 8 years ago not been used that often, there is a noise as if something is spinnig inside but not like the noise off the fans

Is the spinning noise from the hard drive ?

yeah i think so cause the cd-rom spins then u can here it stop and the other noise is still there

have you tried a boot disk in your floppy or cd rom ? and see if it boots
