My WIN98 PC has problems when booting up. When booting up I get the network logon window, I hear the windows startup jiggle, the start bar flashes really quick on the bottom of the screen and that's it. I end up with a blue screen with no icons or start bar. The same thing happens if I boot up in safe mode. This was a result of installing a game (Blue Clues) for my daughter. Please help!!

You can try using the scanreg /restore command to restore the registry to a time before you attempted to install the game. Please click HERE for more information. Please let us know if this works for you. HTH

I tried to fix my registry using th scanreg /fix from the command prompt. This did not resloved my issue. The solution was pointed out to me at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=249191 Thanks for all your help.
