Reinsatlling Win 98 SE on Win 2000
Hi there, I am having problems reinstalling Windows 98 SE on my laptop. I am currently using Windows 2000 and my laptop is a Compaq Armada 1750. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

You need to know if the C: drive is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS. You can check this by right-clicking on the C: drive in Windows Explorer and selecting Properties from the menu.
If your drive is FAT32, then you need to boot the laptop from a Windows 98 floppy boot disk and then use the FORMAT program to wipe everything off of your C: drive so that you can install Windows 98 on it. You cannot "upgrade" Windows 2000 to 98 as Windows 2000 is newer. NOTE: Make sure you backup all your data (documents, pictures, emails, important settings, Favourites, etc) before you format the C: drive.
If your hard disk is NTFS, we'll need to give you some different instructions.
